The Madrid Association of Mediators (AMM), in its 30th year since its foundation, continues to work towards the recognition and promotion of best practices in mediation and mediators.

This year, AMM expands its focus beyond domestic mediations and mediators as it ventures into international territories, recognizing the importance of collaboration with mediators and institutions worldwide.

Some of the main goals of AMM are to promote and highlight good practices and the diverse contributions made from various sectors to the field of mediation.

In line with this, the AMMI Awards 2023, organized by the Madrid Association of Mediators, aim to acknowledge the efforts made by individuals, public entities, and private organizations in advancing mediation within the fields of mediators.

By doing so, AMM fulfills its the mission and vision of promoting mediation and establishing the mediator’s role as a vital element in fostering a culture of peace.

SCOPE OF THE AWARD

The AMMI Awards, established in 2010 by the Madrid Association of Mediators, aim to recognize the work of mediators throughout the year, as well as the contributions made by institutions, companies, training centers, and the media in support of mediation.

Our awards have expanded over time, and currently, the AMMI Awards acknowledge excellence in the following categories:

• AMMI Award for End-of-Course Mediation Project (across all modalities: master’s, expert, specialist, etc.).
• AMMI Award for Mediation Training Center.
• AMMI Award for Individual Best Practices in Mediation.
• AMMI Award for Institutional Contribution to Mediation
• AMMI Award for the Best Publication on Mediation of the Year.
• AMMI Award for the Best Media Outlet in Mediation.
• AMMI Award for Mediation Best Project.
• AMM Professional Recognition Award.
• AMMI Award for Innovation.

AMMI 2023 Award for the Final Course Mediation Project, in any of its modalities (master’s, specialist, expert, etc.).

This award has both national and international scope.

This award is intended for individuals who have submitted a final course mediation project during the academic year 2022-2023, conducted by any training center (national and/or international), including universities, professional colleges, private centers, etc.

To be eligible to participate, the following requirements must be fulfilled:

1. The final course project must be submitted along with a letter certifying that the work was submitted during the 2022-2023 academic year, signed by the course director and/or secretary, before September 25, 2023, at 8:00 PM.
2. The final course project must be accompanied by the project’s information sheet, which can be found on the AMM website at the following link:

The Jury will evaluate the project’s originality, its practical application, and its contribution to the field of mediation.

AMMI 2023 Award for Mediation Training Centers.

National and international scope award.

This award will be received by the training center from which the winning final course mediation project originated.

AMMI 2023 Award for Individual Professional Career in Mediation. National and international scope award.

This award will be received by the training center from which the winning final course mediation project originated.

AMMI 2023 Award for individual professional career in Mediation. National and international scope award.

This award recognizes the individual professional career of mediators and/or individuals involved in mediation whose work has contributed to the promotion of mediation and mediators.

It must be proposed by at least three different individuals, including a text explaining the reasons and merits of the nomination, all signed by the nominators.

One member of the jury will contact the candidates for this award to inquire if they accept the nomination. The nomination must be submitted in electronic and/or digital format to the following email address before September 25: premiosammi23@asociacionmadrileñademediadores.es

AMMI 2023 Award for Institutions and Organizations Work in Mediation

This award recognizes the work of institutions, organizations, or associations, both public and private, that have distinguished themselves in the defense, promotion, and development of mediation.

AMMI 2023 Award for Best Publication of the Year in Mediation.

National and international scope award.

This award is open to all books and publications about mediation in its various contexts that have been published throughout 2022 in the entire national territory, as well as the rest of Europe and Latin America.

All nominations are accepted and can be submitted by publishers, authors, or readers.

AMMI 2023 Award for Best Media in Mediation.

National and international scope award.

This award recognizes the valuable contributions made by all kind of media, including blogs, authors (individuals or associations or institutions), in raising awareness about mediation through various channels, particularly social media.

Editors or any interested parties are required to submit a digital copy of the published program, interview, or documentary before September 25 to the following email address:

This prestigious award recognizes and honour institutions, organizations, both public and private, that have demonstrated exceptional dedication in advocating for, promoting, and advancing Mediation in national and international scope.

AMM 2023 Special Recognition Award.

National and international scope award.

This award serves as a recognition of the exceptional efforts and accomplishments of individuals and institutions, both in the public and private sectors, who actively collaborate to advance the goals and objectives established by the Madrid Association of Mediators.

Through their dedication and commitment to the field of mediation, these remarkable individuals and institutions have made significant contributions to the growth and development of the association.

Their invaluable contributions have played a main role in fostering a culture of effective mediation and conflict resolution.

The nominations for this award will be carefully evaluated by the AMM Board of Directors, who possess extensive expertise and a deep understanding of the field.

After a rigorous evaluation process, the deserving recipient will be selected through a democratic voting procedure conducted by the board members themselves.

By bestowing this recognition, the AMM aims to inspire and motivate others to actively engage in the pursuit of mediation’s goals and objectives. It is through the collective efforts of these exceptional individuals and institutions that the field of mediation continues to evolve, thrive, and positively impact the lives of countless individuals and communities.

AMMI 2023 Innovation Award

This award recognizes new methods, new schools, new ideas, and innovative projects in the field of mediation.

JURY

The jury will be composed of the members of the AMM Board of Directors, advised by highly reputable professionals in the field of mediation.

The announcement of the award winners will be made on the AMM website, except for the AMMI Awards for the Mediation Final Course Project and the Mediation Training Center, which will be announced at the awards ceremony gala.

The prize in each category consists of a specially designed award for these awards and an accreditation diploma.
